My Apology Statement

Two days ago, I posted a Shein clothing haul, which sparked a large amount of criticism towards my character. I am not opposed to criticism when its constructive. But something I will not tolerate is personal insults and death threats.  You are entitled to your opinion of me. However, wishing death on me and threatening to harm me over a mistake, makes you just as “evil” claim me to be.

Although I have been met with a lot of negativities, I thank those that took the time to educate me on Shein as a brand, and their unethical, inhumane practices, and about how they are non-eco-friendly. The long hours with very little pay and very little breaks in sweatshops are, without a doubt, abuse and an infringement on basic human rights, and in my opinion, modern day slavery. This is something I do not, and never will endorse. I believe that people no matter job role is entitled fair treatment. In addition to this, Shein’s contribution to the global environmental crisis, global warming, is also appalling. Companies need to be aware of how they are affecting the environment, and take steps towards being more green, which is something that Shein is not doing, and not planning on doing, this is why I will no longer be affiliated with the company, and I will be taking down all clothing hauls, and clothing reviews for the brand, as I no longer wish to promote them, nor do I want to influence people to purchase from them. If the reason why you followed me is because of my massive Shein hauls, then feel free to unfollow.

Since finding out how awful Shein is, I decided to do my own research into the brand and found that several retailers purchase their goods from Shein wholesaler, and re-sell on their own site. This includes brands such as PrettyLittleThing (and other stores under their ownership, such as boohoo), Motel Rocks, and Forever 21. As a result, I will also no longer be associating myself with those brands as well.

I am whole heartedly sorry for the disappointment I have caused as of recently. I recognise that I was blindly ignorant to what has been going on, and due to that I have been unknowingly making money at the expense of others and I am sorry. I am aware that my words can only do so much, and what you really want to see is change. When it comes to brand deals in the future, I will do my research and will carefully pick the brands that I choose to work with. I will only be working with brands whose business approach is ethical, and that are conscious of environmental factors. I once again apologies for my recent content, and I hope you guys give me room to grow and change, and I promise that I will be more aware of the content I am making, and the morals that I am endorsing.
